Eden Valley Websites can provide you with a no-nonsense low cost Facebook advertising creation and management service.

To launch a social media campaign, even with a very small budget, we recommend the following elements which, when combined over a 3-12 month period can yield great results:

By growing your Facebook 'Like' (Fan) base you can reach new customers and gain exponential organic growth, this can massively increase conversions for customer acquisition or online lead generation.

With Facebook CPC/CPM advertising you can reach the exact audience that you want, this is a great way to promote your Facebook page or existing website.

It appears that Facebook users generally follow brands either because they simply love the brand or to gain knowledge, discounts, offers and promotions, so this needs to considered carefully as we develop your strategy with you.

In addition to Facebook CPC/CPM there are other powerful applications and “sharing” strategies that we recommend.

Here are a few tips for Facebook marketing:

  • Make sure your Facebook page is relevant, up to date and engaging
  • Do not stop until you reach at least 500 Facebook ‘Likes’ (Fans) – companies with more than 500 Facebook Fans receive more traffic and more sales leads than companies with less than 500 fans
  • Use Facebook Ads on a regular basis to market and promote your business - opting for the lower cost strategy of targeting specific areas and interests of your potential customers

Undoubtedly the main advantage of advertising on Facebook is the targeting structure and functionality.

This is useful for advertisers who already have an idea of their customers demographic and want to run a tight advertising campaign.
Facebook ads can be targeted very specifically to various users and Facebook ads can target individual based on:

Gender - Location - Age - Professional & academic status - University - Place of work - Likes & interest - Language

What is the difference between CPC and CPM and which should I choose?

Cost per click (CPC) advertising allows you to specify a certain amount that you are willing to pay each time a user clicks on your ad.

Many CPC advertisers are more interested in driving conversions and have goals such as ‘Like’ (Fan) acquisition, application installation, or leading off Facebook to a website.
Cost per thousand impressions (CPM) advertising allows you to specify how much you are willing to pay for 1000 impressions (views) of your ad.

Most CPM advertisers are more focused on ensuring that their ad is seen often, rather than on having people click on their ads. These advertisers are also often more focused on spreading brand awareness than accruing immediate conversions.
When it comes to Facebook advertising, whether you should choose CPC or CPM completely depends on your goal.

If you are trying to simply get traffic to a website or promote a one-off product or event then CPC is the way to go. As the name suggests, you'll only pay when someone clicks your advert and Facebook will show the advert until your set budget is reached.
However, if you want to build brand awareness about an event or product offer, you need to consider CPM.

You'll always pay less for 1000 impressions than you will for a single click, but remember that while 1000 impressions sounds impressive it does not guarantee that customers will click on your advert.

The bonus when trying to establish a brand or local business name is that 1000 impressions may not result in a lot of clicks, but it keeps you in front of your targeted audience.

When generating clicks isn't your sole aim, establishing your brand can often yield better long term results.
